About John H. Anderson II
Why choose John H. Anderson II
After 37 years of practicing law as an advocate in civil claims and civil litigation, John has determined that serving as a mediator or arbitrator in those cases best suits his personal and professional goals.
John spent 5 years practicing as an aerospace engineer before entering the legal field. He attended Wake Forest University School of Law, graduating in 1975 with a Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude. John was an assistant District Attorney and entered private practice in 1976 where he developed his litigation skills over the last 37 years. He has participated in hundreds of mediations on both sides of litigation since the pilot program was first started in Cumberland County in 1991. John believes a good mediator takes a proactive role in asking tough questions that will allow each party to perhaps better assess their case and its value.
In the past 37 years of civil litigation, John has represented hundreds of insurance companies and believes that such experience gives him the unique ability to understand the internal structure of how to best communicate with them in their analysis and case evaluations.
During that time, John has extensive experience in:
- auto personal injury
 - premises liability
 - products liability
 - construction law
 - property disputes
 - breach of contract disputes
 - first party insurance claims in life, health and property insurance
 - coverage issues in virtually every type of insurance policy
 - business disputes
 - employment law
